The Kinds, Functions and Sum of Tooth
According the shape, the tooth are divided into two kinds, Homodontal and Heterodontal.
Homodontal is the same shape of tooth in one oral cavity. The shape found in living things for example fish and bird. Meanwhile human tooth include are the kind of heterodontal, because has a tooth with any variation and function.
Four types of human teeth are as follows:1. Incisors
The functions of Incisors are cutting and slicing food. The number of incisors in the children and adult in every jowl are eight teeth. The incisors in children are often getting to Rampant caries.
Canines have surfaced or top sharp pointed. The functions of canines are to tear food. The sum of canines in the children and adult in every jowl are four teeth.
3. Premolars
The functions of premolars are to torn and chewing a food. The numbers of premolars in adults are eight; while for the child did not have the premolars.
4. Molars
The functions of molars is to chew and grinding food. The number of molars on adults are 12 teeth, child’s are 8 teeth.
